Review:
French label CUFF is back after serving up some great releases by Elomak, Sion and Medeew. This time it is turn for DLC from Anapolis, Brazil who has appeared previously on Lou Lou and Material. “Type” is bumping and sleazy minimal tech house for the afterhours in the vein of Jamie Jones or Jey Kurmis. “Tunnell” follows in suit just finely but the drums get fiercer on this one plus that vocal sample ‘talk about the scene’ that repeats is awesome. Finally “Cube” is the toughest offering on here; after that massive snare breakdown that rolling groove comes charging in like a steam train and can do the business as good as any Gruuv or Saved record can.
